Consignment system for second-hand stores
Every item knows who it belongs to. When it sells at the till, the money is already split – commission, balance and Swish in the same second.
From bag to payout
This is the chain. You sell on the till you already have. Serculate keeps the books – from drop-off to money landing correctly.
The bag becomes items
Register one item or a hundred. Set price and commission, print labels – or let the seller do the work.
The till already knows whose it is
The buyer pays in Zettle or Express Retail. The purchase is linked to the right seller in the same second.
The seller sees it first
The balance updates immediately. Sellers follow their items in the portal and request Swish payout – before anyone has time to call.
Two ways to take in goods
You register for the seller
Full control at the counter. You value, set price and commission from what you see in the bag.
The seller registers themselves
Saves time when the bag is full. They add photos and a description – you approve before it goes on the rack.
The whole shop in one place
Sellers, items, till and payouts. What you follow during the day – without Excel after close.
The bag becomes items
One item or a hundred at a time. You or the seller register – no cap per seller.
Today’s overview
Sellers, for sale, sold and payouts in one place. Live from the system.
The till you already have
Zettle and Express Retail. The item sells as usual – commission is already calculated.
You pay. We keep the books.
Swish or bank. The seller requests, you approve. The balance is written down the same day.
Unsold is a decision
You set the period. When it ends: pick up, extend or your own copy – not a pile in the stockroom.
Backup for bookkeeping
Sales, commission and VAT. You export the report instead of calculating it yourself.
Sellers see the status themselves
Balance, sold and for sale in their own portal. You stop being customer service.
Commission you set
Percent at store, customer or item. Bulk-markdown unsold after 30 days.
What shops ask
Yes, it does.
The same questions you ask a full POS. The answers are simpler here – you do not switch tills.
Can the same seller have hundreds of items?
Yes
A seller can have as many items as you take in. No cap that stops a busy customer.
Can I set the commission myself?
Yes
Set the split at store, customer or item. Store default, customer override, item override.
Can the percentage change per item?
Yes
Change one item or many in bulk. Raise, lower or set a fixed value.
Can I have a 60-day sales period?
Yes
Set e.g. 60 days. When time is up the seller gets an email – pick up, extend, or any message you write. Unsold becomes a decision, not a pile in the stockroom.
Can the price drop automatically after 30 days?
Almost
Not fully automatic. Filter items older than 30 days and markdown them in bulk – amount or percent.
What happens when an item is returned?
You decide
You set the policy. We recommend no returns – that is what most profitable second-hand chains do. If Zettle refunds, the item can go back on sale.
Can the seller see their balance online?
Yes
The seller logs in, sees balance, what is for sale and what sold – before anyone has time to call.
Can I pay out via Swish?
Yes
The seller requests a payout. You approve. Money goes via Swish. You can also pay out in store or let the balance be used as a gift card.
Does it work with a Swedish POS?
Yes
Serculate works with Zettle. Sell as usual at the till – consignment syncs automatically. Express Retail is also supported.
Can I add a webshop later?
Yes
Shopify can be connected when you want to sell consignment goods online. Start in-store, add e-commerce later.
How are VAT and bookkeeping handled?
Reports included
Serculate gives sales, commission and VAT reports. You bookkeep as usual – you do not calculate it by hand.
Can it handle several shops if I expand?
Yes
Each new shop gets its own setup, till and customers. Same system when you open shop two.
Everything is in Excel. Can you move it in?
Yes, included
Send files, lists or an export. We load sellers, items and balances before you start. No extra cost.
What happens to items that do not sell?
You decide
You set the period and can extend per item. When it ends: pick up, donate or your own copy. Unsold is a decision, not a pile.
What equipment do I need to start?
The till you have
Zettle or Express Retail is enough. A label printer is handy but not required. You do not need a barcode scanner to begin.

FAQ
What you want to know before you decide
About the till, moving from Excel, the price and what happens with unsold items. Whether you are opening or already running.
What is a POS for consignment shops?+
It is a system that does more than take payment: it links each sold item to the right seller, calculates commission and tracks balances. Serculate does this with the till you already have, such as Zettle or Express Retail.
Do I need to switch POS?+
No. Serculate integrates with your existing till. You sell as usual, and consignment is handled automatically.
What does consignment software cost per month?+
Serculate is free until your first sale. Then SEK 699 per month with no lock-in. All features included from day one.
How does consignment work in a second-hand store?+
Customers drop off items. The shop sells them and splits the revenue. Serculate records whose item it is, syncs the sale from the till and lets the seller follow the balance and withdraw via Swish.
Does Serculate work with Zettle?+
Yes. Zettle takes the payment, Serculate links the purchase to the right seller. The same model applies to Express Retail and Shopify for e-commerce.
Can sellers follow their sales?+
Yes. Each customer gets an account where they see unsold and sold items plus balance, and request payout themselves.
Is Serculate a certified cash register?+
No. The cash register is Zettle or Express Retail. Serculate is the consignment system on top of the till.
Which POS is best for second-hand?+
It depends on whether you want to replace the whole till or keep the one you have. Serculate is built for commission, a customer portal and Swish without switching POS.
